More and more airline carriers are entering the Ugandan market. It is believed that this is as a result of peace and tranquility that now exists in Uganda. It is therefore no wonder that the number of tourists coming to the country has increased by leaps.

After the collapse of the national flag carrier, Uganda Airlines, from then on Kenya airways used to dominate the regional market with up to 4 flights a day in and out of Entebbe. Airlines like Sabena now renamed Brussels Airlines, British Airways and Ethiopian Airlines continued coming to Uganda but with one or two flights per week. The story has changed what with the coming in KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Emirates Airlines. Actually before KLM started flights to Uganda, it would fly into Nairobi and Kenya Airways would bring the connecting passengers from KLM to Uganda and vice versa for KLM clients connecting from Nairobi to Europe. But now that KLM has direct flights to Uganda almost daily.

p>South African Airways also has frequent flights to Uganda, this I have noticed from our clients coming for the most sought after primates in gorilla trekking, it is mostly the clients coming from Australia that find this airline convenient with the connections.

Turkish airlines also came in recently. They have a good number of flights in and out of Entebbe with connections to other parts of the world from Istanbul and seem to be the most fairly priced as of now may be because it is still on promotion.

Qatar Airways will be starting daily flights in and out of Entebbe in November and are promising better service. The entry of Qatar is expected to tighten competition and making it more affordable to those intending to come for Uganda tours and making Uganda an affordable holiday package destination.
