Chimpanzee and Wildlife Tour (5 Days)

A five day safari with a chimpanzee and primate trek in Kibale Forest, Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth and a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

Day 01: Kibaale Forest
Leave Kampala in the morning for the Fort Portal area, the seat of Toro Kingdom and proceed to Kibaale Forest National Park. Arrive in time for a late lunch and in the afternoon, tour the Crater lakes area. Dinner and overnight Primate Lodge. Lunch and Dinner.

Day 02: Chimpanzee trekking
Early morning visit to Kibaale Forest for chimpanzee trekking (trackers must be 15 years of age and above). Kibale Chimpanzees The forest is also home to other primates like grey cheeked mangabeys, baboons, vervet monkeys, Red colobus, black and white colobus, Red tailed monkey and many others.

After lunch, walk through Bigodi Wetland to see birds like Hautlaub’s golden, Black weavers, Speckled Mousebird, Black hooded, Grosbeak, Black-necked, Masked Swallow, Blue Flycatcher, Black and White Mannikin, Red eyed Dove, Lead colored Flycatcher and many others. Overnight at Primate Lodge. All meals included

Day 03: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive at leisure to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enroute see Rwenzori Mountains and many game as you enter the park. Take a short game drive to see lion, Uganda kob, water buck, warthog, Elephant , if you are lucky, leopard can be seen too! Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. All meals included

Day 04:Game drive – Launch cruise
Take an early morning game drive to see elephant, lion, salt lakes with a variety of bird life. In the afternoon relax on a cruise along Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George. Enjoy viewing the animals on the banks as well as a variety of water birds. Lion, hippo, Cape buffalo, Uganda kob, and wart hogs are usually seen. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. All meals included

Day 05: Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe with lunch en-route to connect with your international flight out. End of services. Breakfast and lunch.

Safari includes: airport transfers, private transportation and game drives in 4WD safari vehicles with opening roof hatches for maximum game viewing, the services of professional driver/guides on safari, all park entrance fees, accommodation and meals as stated, excursions as stated.

Safari does not include: flights to and from Uganda, visas (US$50 each), medical or travel insurance, drinks, items of a personal nature, tips and gratuities
